Romans on the Moselle

About us:

“Romans on the Moselle” is an independent, non-profit, English-language educational source on the history of Roman Trier and the land of the Treveri (Civitas Treverorum).

Our main channel of telling this history will be through a series of documentaries on youtube, focussing both on individual Roman heritage sites in the region and on related thematic topics: people, culture, architecture, religion, politics, economy and more.

This web site provides complementary information related to the visited sites and themes: fact sheets, research references and suggested reading, as well as Google map links to help locate the individual heritage sites.

Both the youtube channel and this web site are under development. New episodes and background information will be added on a regular basis.
